Caring for Your Custom-Made Dress
Leanne’s Dress Care Guide
Caring for your custom-made dress is simple. By following our recommended care instructions, it will prolong the life of the fabric and trims making your dress last for many years.
1. Machine Washing
Cycle & Water: Use a gentle cycle with warm water and a mild detergent.
Sorting & Protection: Wash with similar colors and avoid bleach. Always use a mesh laundry bag to protect delicate details during the wash cycle.
2. Hang Drying
Air Dry: After washing, gently reshape your dress and hang it on a hanger to air dry.
Precautions: Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric. Keep the dress away from direct sunlight and strong heat sources.
Note: For the longest garment life, do not tumble dry.
3. Ironing & Steaming
General Ironing: Use a steam iron set to medium heat.
Trims & Embellishments: Use a lower heat setting for delicate fabrics like lace, sheer, and organza.
Important Rule: Never apply a hot iron directly to lace, elastic, decorative trims, or embellishments.
